When CHOICE Magazine redesigned its website, they wanted a video that demonstrated some of the primary changes as part of their promotion. I broke the old website into Photoshop layers and combined them with chroma-keyed video and position/rotation keyframes to create the introduction, before building the new site elements with a selective stroke to create a ‘draft’ design look.
As the video needed to be ready before the site went live, finding a way to visualise the changes from old to new was a challenge – none of the new web pages were actually available, so I had to use the draft outlines from the design company.
